Praying after the Global Diaspora Forum - #GDF2015
The Global Diaspora Forum held in Manila, Philippines in March 2015 was a huge success! The gathering of hundreds of key leaders from around the world to pray, deliberate, discuss and strategize on mission to, through and beyond the "people on the move" was a watershed moment for the Church on mission in the 21st century. Now that the delegates have scattered back to their respective homes and mission fields, we recognize that we have arrived only at the end of the beginning. We challenge you to continue in prayer in the wake of #GDF2015. Here you will find a number of downloadable prayer tools which will help you to join us in praying. |

Praying for #GDF2015 People
The following prayer guide was used to pray for leaders and delegates as they attended the Forum in Manila. We encourage you to use it now to pray for those same people as they have returned to their respective places in the world. They are missionaries, business leaders, academics and teachers, agency and denominational leaders, pastors, and other influencers from every sphere of society. With some minor adjustments, many of the following prayer points are still very relevant.

1. Pray God's blessings on each individual who is a part of the Forum. Pray that every person will delight in the law of the Lord and meditate upon it continuously. Pray that each person will be like a tree planted by streams of water. Ask our Great God to protect and defend each of them from evil. May each of these sons and daughters reflect Christ's image more and more.
2. Pray that the many brothers and sisters working on the Forum will "walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which [they] have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." Pray that all forms of interaction between these workers will be marked by Christ's love and grace.
3. Pray for participants’ well-being (physical, emotional, spiritual…). Ask God to remove distractions and hindrances so that they may focus on the work at hand. Pray for favor and protection over families and jobs. Pray for them to steadfastly obey the Lord when they hear Him speak at the Forum.
4. Ask God to give wisdom, strength and refreshing of spirit to the Global Diaspora Network board and trustees.
5. Pray for Greenhills Christian Fellowship and their leaders to bear fruit in every good work and increase in the knowledge of God.
6. Pray for the worship teams to present themselves to Christ and continue to experience transformation by His grace.
7. May the Lord anoint the mouths of those sharing the Word during the Forum.
8. Pray for the contributors and editors of the compendium to clearly communicate what the Lord has revealed as they speak in plenary sessions, panels and smaller discussions. Ask God to help them receive feedback well so that the compendium may be improved as a resource.
9. Lift up the evening program leaders that they may be sensitive to the Spirit's directions.
10. Pray for the table groups into which the participants will be divided. Pray for humble hearts and open ears ready to share and listen. Pray for the brothers and sisters in each group to have fruitful discussions and sweet times of prayer.
11. Ask the Lord to bless all the volunteers with steadfast, immovable faith.
12. Pray for intercessors to receive insight from the Lord on how to pray for the Forum.
